- 1 ltr milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 Tbsp Gobindobhog rice
- 2 large Mango
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- As needed Garnish with mango pieces and mint leaves
Steps to make to make Mango Phirni
- Soak Gobindobhog rice for 30 mins, drain and make a paste with little water. Set aside
- Boil 1ltr milk and after 10 mins, add the rice paste. At this point flame should be low and keep stirring.
- When the texture is a little thick and rice is cooked, make a mango purée and add to it
- Immediately add cardamom powder and sugar and on low flame keep stirring for 5-7 mins.
- Plate and refrigerate for 40 mins, or when it sets
- Garnish with some chopped mango pieces and mint leaves and enjoy
